Books on mathematics are almost without exception written by mathematicians for mathematicians, so that the latter can move onto the next level of study; they are seldom, if ever, written for the general reader. This book would have put me so far ahead, why did someone not do it earlier. I have a BS in physics from many years ago, so not too bad on calculus and vectors, but never studied tensors.
