In neverwinter I know 14 wisdom is used to cast 4th level spells and charisma modifier is used for divine skill power and number of turn undead but I’m assuming it’s different in 2nd edition rules. Actually, given your bloodline, would any of the demons/evil gods lend your their power? Baldurs gate will always give you stats that meet the classes prerequisites, for instance you will never roll below 17 charisma for a paladin or a 13 (I think) for wisdom, because all paladins need a minimum of these rolls. Might have to kill an innocent here or there so my evil party members stay happy. Kek is voicing exactly what I think. I'm trying to decide what weapons I should use for my Blackguard. Look for 18 str, 18 con, 18 dex, 11int, minimum wisdom and 18 charisma.
Don't try to take anything from neverwinter into baldurs gate. Every time you click the button the game actually does a bunch of rolls and only stops rolling when the numbers meet your prerequisite class minimum stats, so as a paladin it is easier to end up with higher numbers.

They don't actually do anything though, no bonus spells, no turn undead modifier, they're just numbers that if you were actually playing dungeons and dragons would be important for your character but in bg they're just there. There's a few wands all classes can use e.g missile wand, sleep wand. Str, Dex, Con are the stats that matter for a Blackguard. So for stats you will need: STR 18/75+, DEX 18, CON 18, than I usually set CHA to 18 (just in case), WIS to minimum, and everything else into INT.
