Also, Bioware of old was really good but so far their last two games (Andromeda and Anthem) really suck. Slink through the shadows as a deadly half-elven rogue, wield fearsome magics as a powerful gnomish sorcerer, vanquish your foes as an armor-clad dwarven paladin... whatever hero you create, incredible adventures await. In fact switch already supports USB keyboard now when you chat with the others in a supported game.
Too bad. The main draw of that game was always the construction set which allowed you to make your own modules, and many of the community offerings were vastly superior to what was included in the box. Pretty much anything you might want to use in combat needs to be on that bar or else you won’t be able to use them. But to enjoy that you're going to have to put up with some of the most stuttery, bug-riddled nonsense we've seen on the Switch.
I have this, along with all of the other old D&D games including the sequel, on PC and still enjoy playing it from time to time. All of the stories are there exactly as it was before and I could choose to start from the beginning or start at either of the expansions. Slightly more mobile and once the controls get on my nerves I can plug in a mouse. If that ain't scummy as all hell. I just don’t have the precision with the stick I’m used to having with a mouse so getting the cursor to exactly where I wanted to click wasn’t easy. The developer’s less at fault with this one: the game was originally designed for a mouse and keys, so mapping all that over to a controller was always going to be a bit unwieldy. The thing is when I played this game on my Switch recently it had a broken quest and I didn't have access to any of my character's spells. Neverwinter Nights was already An Unforgivably Sloppy Excuse For A Genre Classic, that only ever had a name to it because of the three Infinity Engine games released before it.
One thing I do love about the Enhanced Edition is all of the core game content is included along with the two expansions, Shadows of the Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark.
This is classic BioWare, from the days before dodgy alternative endings and grindy Destiny rivals. In particular, the ability wheel is important to utilize on the console because the quick action bar doesn’t exist.
While the game itself holds up really well the switch port has some issues in the UI which made playing far more frustrating than it should have been. Posting on phones is hard.

Neverwinter Nights was such a great game back when it released, but as others have commented, it was the community that really brought this game to life. They said they are interested in the Switch but have no plans atm.

This looks like a port gone horribly wrong. I thought the reviewer was just poking a bit of fun at the whole political climate (the whole review was humourous in tone).
