I love how truely unlikable Jake Gyllenhaal's character is. Louis Bloom's character is really amazing. Also have you seen the movie night crawler?
When the laughs come, they stick in your throat. I wonder if this is another case where the movie has the wrong central character, but I couldn't muster any empathy for this psycho. That left Nightcrawler to the back of my Toy Biz update list, but Hasbro made sure their version will be the new display choice. Russo does a splendid job of emitting the broadcast television head role, and how she just wants her viewership to continue going up, regardless of the gruesome tale of strictly white people suburban crimes.
Bloom is very much self educated, and relies on the Internet for most if not all of his knowledge. It’s a tale for our time, as video equipment becomes more lightweight and affordable.

I never really thought about the voice thing, but thinking about it now, It really is incredible. Reviews: 0.
This might have been true for most of it, but I found that the tone shifts in the last ten minutes or so to sort of rub the themes in your face. Nightcrawler curves and hisses its way into your head with demonic skill. Hasbro definitely wins this one in my book. It leaves the judgment up to the viewer instead of holding their hand.
Something a lot of people complained about in r/movies when this thing came out was the uplifting music that played during certain scenes of Bloom videotaping horrible things, but I think it was one of the most brilliant aspects of the film, and I think it took a lot of balls to do it: it shows the movie from Bloom's perspective, and in those scenes it was a triumphant and celebratory moment.
