So I went there early this morning and got got a tour of their equipment and it is all new, however it was not I was use to at my previous gym (e.g there is no squatting, benching, or deadlifting equipment because of their mission statement). I'm thinking of joining the Planet Fitness on Strasburg Rd (I think it's the only one in Kitchener). So if you're doing a 5/3/1, PPL, or even SL this may not be a good option for you. There are at least two of each non-cardio machines that I think of as "nautilus style" that do focused movements, like a bicep curl machine, lateral raise machines, etc. So if I'm understanding this correctly, the 4 main exercises are bench press, squats, deadlifts, and overhead press. I'll be using the treadmills but I think the majority of my time would be using the benches with dumbbells/barbells, the smith machine (because I don't think they have actual squat racks), and the various other machines. However they do offer an "assisted/guided" bench machine.
