Ruston sets out to uncover how we understand these challenges in our current screen-filled society. Please RSVP and complete the form below so we can ensure enough supervision at the event. Before we hold our in-person screening once we can all gather together again, we are hosting a special online screening of this important and informative film for tweens to parents. We will use the film to begin a discussion about ways to help teens in our community build the skills necessary to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age. The showing of Screenagers Next Chapter is a follow-up to Screenagers: Growing Up in a Digital Age shown last year by the CSD Parent Engagement Series Steering Committee. The video is appropriate for school-age children 5th -12th grade, and they are welcome to attend. We witness Ruston as she finds her way from ineffective parenting to much-improved strategies.
We also observe approaches in schools that provide strategies relevant beyond the classroom setting. Free child care will be available during the showing of "Screenagers" and is provided by CHS National Honor Society students.
