A truly great writer doesn't need all these words, so I think it's time to give up on this rubbish and read some Philip K Dick, or Arthur C Clarke. Beware earlier two volume versions of this title. Its surprises were surprising, it traveled so far further than I was expecting, and I quickly realised that I had to read this whole series right to the end. It turned out to be so very much more. I was hooked from around page 5, and could hardly put it down.
