Assuming you don't have ToB, put your proficiencies in longbow and use Heartseeker. yeah, but my point was that I thought even Fighters could only put up to 3 stars in ranged weapons (i.e. Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. It doesn't make any sense to dual class in BG1. Your only downside is that +2 arrows are somewhat rare so you'll be useless against some enemies, but getting Taralash and later Gesen's wil allow you to hit anything that you can't normally hit.

The low-ish THAC0 bonus of Tuigan's is of no consequence to an Archer, as your THAC0 is already far far higher than it needs to be to get the 95% chance to hit anything. If there's a database or table available somewhere, it'd make this a little easier.
