I love the atmosphere of this gym. I'd like to add there are a couple staff members trying to help but managment should have had this resolved that day ...It's been 5 days. Extremely unimpressed and quite frankly, insulted by this gym! If you have $500+ Per person to spend yearly on the gym and want to spend that much to get a better experience then go for it.
UPDATE: 19-09-2017They had a scheduled "renovation" which they decided to cancel? The problem with this place is the lack of leadership and management skills that are at the table.
But other then that I'm very happy and will remain a member here unless I move too far away. This is by far the best la gym. I tend to go around 5pm and I never have to wait for a treadmill. I'm not a gym rat. Inside, the front desk clerk sits on her phone (always), along with a few other staff on their phones - I had to ask them to salt the walk way. Place is pretty clean for such a large place. I've cancelled my gym membership and won't be returning anytime soon.
I heard the process of membership cancellation in LA Fitness isn't that easy. Front desk is happy and usually says hello when I come in. Not sure about the other locations, but the Don Mills location is probably the worst gym I've ever been a member of.
25 minutes later this same guy infront of a gym full of people as I’m working out yelled at me and called me a “fucking fat cunt.” And proceeded to make vulgar gestures at me while exiting. Is meeting that bare minimum really enough to suffice paying the high membership fee for this club?
When I forwarded this to lafitness management I was urged to not escalate because it’s seen as an altercation between two members. Additionally, the members stare you up and down when you are doing a workout, then they imitate your workout; how tactless of them. Created Mar 12, 2019. Overall, a nice gym, in a good area... bright and pretty clean... the cleaning lady works hard, that is for sure.
The gym has been full of "out of service" machines for months, weights are never stacked, fights regularly breaking out in the basketball courts, people being robbed in the parking and inside the locker room, towels are practically never available when you need them, and the management basically only care about signing you up for the initiation fee, after which point any membership-related needs are ignored. They have my business because I live close by. I have an LA Fitness Signature membership, meaning I can workout at any LA Fitness location. in the women's change rooms?-the front staff aren't the most pleasant -wifi would be great-foam rollers or stretching equipment would be a great addition -it would be nice if there was more education to people about cleaning their machines after their workouts -the annoying loud radio music that makes hearing your own music or having a conversation difficult.
