Okay, so you mutilated that Mac boot disc by taking the OS off it and ruining the blessed system setup it had there. The rom file was named Mac OS ROM. Disk Utility will create the image file "SSShared.dmg", and mount it on the desktop. Be careful though, it may not work with this version of the file. Mac OS X doesn't need any disk driver partition to work, but Classic OSes always need driver partitions in order to boot from non-floppies. In order to run such applications, OS X and macOS users must now install "emulator" software that runs old versions of the Mac OS in a window on the OS X or macOS desktop.
